Vielfach lagen die jetzt überfluteten Höhlensysteme noch vor wenigen tausend Jahren oberhalb des Meeresspiegels, und so haben sich hier auch die Überreste zahlreicher Tiere und sogar von Menschen erhalten. Unterwasserfilmer Wes Skiles beobachtet das Taucherteam bei seinen aufregenden Expeditionen in die Tiefe und liefert spektakuläre Bilder aus einer bislang nahezu unzugänglichen Welt.
