A film about a couple's experiences on Independence Day.
Abel takes his girlfriend Meryem to Quetzaltenango to meet his conservative family during the Guatemalan Independence Day celebrations. While Abel struggles to live up to family expectations, Meryem ventures into the city in search of her idol. With secrets and misunderstandings, the couple faces comical and heartwarming challenges during a night of parades and revelations.
