When Clare arrives, she meets Liam, a handsome historian who is determined to prove Aunt Bridget’s manor is a historical landmark. Realizing Clare can help Liam prove the manor’s historical value, Aunt Bridget proposes they work together to bring back the Christmas Ball from years ago. In the planning process, Clare and Liam begin to fall in love and realize their true passion in life is to be together.
