De Wereld van Eva

One in five women experience their birth as traumatic. Like Mariska, who has severe issues for seventeen years since she gave birth to her first child. Presenter Roos Moggré is angry about the lack of proper care for women surrounding childbirth. Eva visits her sports class where more attention is paid to the recovery of women after having given birth.

When Eva is doing her talkshow, her workdays are long. Every day there's this creeping guilt: am I spending enough time with my child? She knows that she's not the only mother struggling with this and notices among other things at a class for equal parenting. Eva also visits schoolyards in the Netherlands to observe the male to female ratio.

After giving birth, it took months for Eva to be ready to have sex again. And she's not the only one. In the first three months after giving birth, half of all women have a decrease in sex drive. It's common, but rarely talked about. That's why sisters Anna and Frederique have developed a class for young mothers where they can share their sexual experiences and frustrations.
