Circeo

1975. Donatella and Rosaria accept an invitation from two wealthy Romans, and find themselves in a nightmare. Donatella survives, but her life will never be the same again. Teresa, a lawyer fighting for women's rights, has found the case she was looking for.

The justice system is in motion, and Teresa convinces Donatella to let her firm handle the case. The trial approaches and becomes a major headline, and Saverio gets the scoop he's been looking for, while Donatella struggles to return to normalcy.

The trial begins in Latina, with women from the feminist movement also present. Donatella faces pressure from the courtroom and the media, while defense lawyers try everything they can to derail the trial.

Donatella is required to testify at the Circeo villa, and this puts her to the test. Teresa confides in Saverio, and the feminists welcome Donatella into their group. The sentencing date approaches, but the trial could still be postponed.

After the verdict, Donatella tries to rebuild her life, but for many she remains just "the girl from Circeo." Teresa decides to work with Tina Lagostena Bassi. Together, they try to bring the reality of a rape trial to television.

After five years, the appeal trial arrives, taking place in Rome. Donatella and Teresa must rally their forces to prevent the verdict from being overturned, but time has been against them, and their opponents are more aggressive than ever.
