Sandi Toksvig treads in the footsteps of Ireland's literary greats. She starts in Dublin, where novelist Marian Keyes gives her an insight into why the Irish are such great storytellers. Sandi also takes a trip to the National Theatre and an excursion into the countryside to discover one of the world's greatest forgotten female novelists and the landscapes that inspired William Butler Yeats.

In Dublin, Sandi Toksvig treads in the footsteps of the capital's greatest chronicler, James Joyce, and meets up with Roddy Doyle in a classic Dublin pub. In Belfast, Sandi finds a link with the author of the Narnia stories, CS Lewis, and back in the countryside, she explores how two distinct rural landscapes inspired two of Ireland's greatest 20th-century poets.
